I don't know how many of you remember or know how much I've always loved Edgar Renteria but yeah. I have. So much. I know he wasn't very good when he played for the Red Sox in '05 and I know a lot of people liked him better on the Cardinals since he was the last out that let the Sox win the World Series in '04 but I've always adored him. So I was extremely happy to see the San Francisco Giants make the playoffs and then win the World Series and for Edgar to win Most Valuable Player. You better believe my Renteria bobblehead was going furiously!! haha He won MVP back in '97 for the Florida Marlins at the beginning of his career with a series winning home run. Guess how he won it this time? Yeah. He is fucking awesome. I am so happy for him! What a way to finish off his career. I really do hope he retires and goes out on top. With the injuries he's had the last few years it'd be wise to go out gracefully. He seems like such a genuine person that I believe he will do just that. Check out this article. It's sweet. As much as I would have LOVED the Red Sox to even make the playoffs let alone win the World Series...I am SUPER happy for the San Francisco Giants. Well deserved! :)
